Of course, the issue of borders was, of course, also the focus of the presentation of Professor Axel Haunschild, Director of the Institute for Interdisciplinary Work Science at Leibnitz University in Hannover.

All the more so because “the boundaries between work and life in modern work places are fluid,” as Axel Haunschild stressed. More and more employees are having difficulties coping with this ‘delimitation’.

Axel Haunschild

He is Professor of Work and Employment Studies at Leibnitz University of Hanover, Germany.

Axel Haunschild held visiting professorships at Royal Holloway College, University of London, and the University of Innsbruck, Austria.

His research interests include changing forms of work, employment and organization, creative industries, CSR and sustainability from an industrial-relations perspective, organizations and lifestyles, and organizational boundaries.

Axel Haunschild has published in journals including Human Relations, Journal of Organizational Behavior, British Journal of Industrial Relations, and International Journal of Human Resource Management. He is co-editor of the German Journal of Human Resource Management and a member of the International Advisory Board of the journal Work Employment and Society.

The University of Lucerne currently consists of three faculties: the faculties for Theology, Culture and Social Sciences, and Law.
