In his presentation, Evangelos Ioannidis of Aristoteles University in Thessaloniki discussed the borders of bounded rationality.

This involves decision-making on actions whose rationality is limited by information acquisition costs, insecurity, or incertitude.

He raised the question of whether rationality is related to networking. His answer was ‘yes’: “The more users join a network, the more its value increases and the more the network’s users are likely to benefit from it.”

Find out what impact this conclusion has on the discussion about Big Data as well as on data security in the world-wide web in the video of the presentation.
